"A Dash of the Tropics" is an odd combination of flavors. The creaminess of the coconut helps tie together the range of fruit juices and liquors. This is definitely a drink for a funky mood.

For the drink:
-1 1/2 oz rhum agricole (JM Rhum VSOP)
-1/2 oz black raspberry liqueur (Black Raspberry Chambord)
-1/3 oz Cocalero
-1 1/2 oz mango juice
-1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
-1/2 oz fresh lime juice
-1 oz coconut cream
-2 dashes Angostura bitter
Garnish:
Dried orange wheel
Dried lemon wheel
Dried lime wheel
Glassware:
Martini
To make the dried fruit wheels, preheat your oven to 175 degrees. Slice your fruit as thin as possible. Place a wire wrack on a baking sheet and lay the fruit out. The lemons and limes will take about 3-4 hours and the oranges about 5-6 hours. If the fruit is still sticky and has traces of moisture keep drying.
Combine all of the cocktail ingredients in a shaker, add ice, and shake for 10 seconds. Pour through a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer into the glass. Garnish.
