For Day Seven of the cocktail advent calendar, I created "The Cozy Winter Morning." This variation on a classic flip is a fantastic treat. I used Borsci, an Italian liqueur with hints of chocolate and coffee, as the main component and this makes it a perfect brunch or after dinner drink.
For the drink:
-1 1/2 oz Borsci San Marzano (Or substitute a coffee liqueur like Kahlua)
-3/4 oz spiced simple syrup
-1 whole egg
2 coffee beans
Nick and Nora
Place your Nick and Nora in the freezer. Combine the Borsci, simple syrup, and whole egg in a cocktail shaker. Dry shake without ice for 45 seconds. Add ice and shake for another 5-10 seconds until chilled. Pour through a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer into your glass and garnish.
