"Fairytale of New York" starts the cocktail advent calendar. This is my favorite Christmas song, so I thought it would get me in the holiday spirit. The grapefruit peel of the Empire State Building helped complete the theme.
For the drink:
-1 1/2 oz silver rum (BLY
-1/2 oz Espirit de June
-3/4 oz fresh lime juice
-1/3 oz simple syrup
-1 bar spoon orange blossom water
-2 dashes orange bitters (Regan's)
-1 1/2 oz seltzer
Garnish:
Grapefruit peel
Glassware:
Tom Collins glass
Add the drink ingredients except the seltzer to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for ten secons. Pour through a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer. Top with seltzer. Garnish.
