"Gingerbread House" is next in the advent calendar. Every year I try to make a famous structure gingerbread house from scratch and this year I chose the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City. I made a gingerbread cocktail to celebrate finishing this multi-day project.
For the drink:
-1 1/2 oz spiced liqueur (St. George Spiced Pear)
-1/4 oz American whiskey (Barrell Dovetail)
-1/2 oz ginger simple syrup
-1 whole egg
Nick and Nora
Combine all the cocktail ingredients in a shaker without ice and shake for 45 seconds. Add ice and shake for ten seconds. Pour through a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer into your glass. Garnish.
