For Day Eighteen of the cocktail advent calendar, I created "Partridge and a Pear Tree." Sarah helped me come up with this idea and how to turn the 12 Days of Christmas into a drink. For the drink, I used perry, pear cider, as the base and built the drink from there. I added a partridge shaped garnish to complete the theme.

For the drink:
-4 1/2 oz perry (Samuel Smith Organic Perry)
-1/2 oz amaretto (Caffo)
-3/4 oz lemon juice
-3 raspberries
-2 petals of star anise
Garnish:
Lemon peel
Glassware:
Fizz glass
Carve your lemon peel into the shape of a partridge. I traced the outline of one I printed online. Add the amaretto, raspberries, and star anise petals to a cocktail shaker and muddle gently. Then pour in the lemon juice. Add ice until the shaker is three-quarters full and shake until chilled, 5-10 seconds. Pour through a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer into the fizz glass. Top with the perry. Garnish the drink.
