GALICIAN GULP

For my tiki drink from Spain, I created the "Galician Gulp." This drink features ingredients from Spain. I split the alcohol base pairing the rum with orujo, a brandy from Galicia. This refereshing punch will certainly remind you this wonderful country.

For the drink:

-1 oz white or lightly aged rum (Diplomatico Planas)

-1 oz orujo brandy (Tierra Miega)

-3 oz fresh cara cara juice

-1/2 oz fresh lime juice

-1/3 oz tart cherry juice

-1/2 oz simple syrup


Garnish:

Cara Cara peel


Glassware:

Double rocks glass


Combine all of the drink ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Fill three-quarters with ice and shake for 15 seconds. Pour into your glass through a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer. Garnish.
