This is my interpretation of the technical challenge from episode 4 of the Great British Bake Off's 11th season: the babka. The Jewish communities in the Ukraine or Poland created this sweet braided bread. Traditionally, the babka was made with cinnamon or fruits, as chocolate was a luxury, but later it became a staple ingredient. This drink version uses bourbon as the "bread" and flavors it with a spiced simple syrup and crème de cacao.

For the drink:
-2 oz bourbon (Jefferson very small batch)
-1/2 oz spiced simple syrup
-1/2 oz crème de cacao (Tempus Fugit Creme de Cacao)
-2 drops saline solution
"Garnish":
-Ghirardelli bittersweet 60% cacao baking chips
-Cinnamon stick
Glassware:
Small coupe
Melt the chocolate in the microwave at thirty second intervals mixing with a spatula. Once melted, use a small paint brush to make the babka swirl design. Add the bourbon, spiced simple syrup and crème de cacao, and saline solution to a mixing glass and fill with ice until the ice is above the liquid. Stir for 20-25 seconds until chilled. Pour into the coupe.
