GINGER SIMPLE SYRUP


This versatile syrup will elevate your tequila, rum, and whiskey cocktails and likely many others. It's only 5 minutes of active prep time and well worth it.



Ginger Simple Syrup

This recipe makes about 8 oz.


Ingredients:

-1 cup sliced ginger

-1 cup water

-3/4 cup sugar (demerara or white)


-Add the water and sugar to a saucepan and the stove to medium-high.

-Stir until the sugar has dissolved and then add the ginger.

-Bring to a boil and then reduce to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes.

-Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it steep for 30 minutes.

-Pour through a mesh strainer into a mason jar and refrigerate.
