This spiced simple syrup is perfect for your fall cocktails.

Ingredients:
-10 oz water
-1 1/2 cups turbinado or demerara sugar
-4 cinnamon sticks
-8 whole cloves
-6 allspice berries or 3 teaspoons of dried allspice
-Place a sauce pan on the stove and turn on to a medium-low heat.
-Immediately add the water and sugar, stirring until you dissolve all of the sugar.
-Add the spices and stir frequently for about 5 minutes, but don't boil.
-Remove from the heat and leave to steep for 10 minutes.
-Pour into a mason jar through a strainer and cheese cloth, then refrigerate. You can also use a coffee filter to pour it through.
