I really liked the eerie cloudiness of this drink. With Halloween approaching, I tried thinking of a number of names, many options had ghost in the title. Sarah came up with the name The Siren and I really liked it. The drink has a mysterious look and the flavor pulls you in.
For the drink:
- 2 oz gin (New Amsterdam)
- 1 oz blood orange liqueur (Solerno)
- 1/4 oz elderflower liqueur (St. Germain)
- 1 oz lime juice
- 2 dashes Peychaud bitters
Garnish:
Lime peel
Glassware:
Nick and Nora
Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Fill three-quarters full with ice. Shake 5-10 seconds until chilled. Pour into a Nick and Nora through a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer.
